Comments:

-VHF contest participants are familiar with 4-digit grid squares contest
exchanges. Many HF operators are not, especially newer digital ops. They rely on
signal strength exchanges.
-WHO DESIGNED THIS HF DIGITAL CONTEST ? Drop these abbreviations - People will
quickly dismiss this event because of this unfamiliar of the RULES: HCAT, COND,
OPRG, STTN, PROH, LGCK, DSCP, ELOG. And why ARENT these abbreviations in the
"DEFINITIONS & GLOSSARY"?
-I was DX-ing during the first 24 hours, then as Sunday mid-day conditions
limited long distance signals, I figured I'd switch over to FT4 and try the
contest. At first there was no one calling CQ TEST. Then I saw a few of the
regulars.
I tried CQ-ing for the contest, many went unanswered. The first few callers were
completely committed to completing a standard HF FT QSO format. Were there any
happy & smooth contest moments? Only when working W1UE & AA3B.
-Will I submit a log...? If it takes me more than 15 minutes to edit my small dx
log to conform to the requirements, I won't.
