Comments:
On vacation in Honolulu. Planned a a few hours activation on Saturday from
either the beach or the hotel. Voacap told me that 15m would be adequate for my
10W from local 5 to 8PM. Being Saturday the beach was totally crowded. I
operated from the hotel balcony, 8th floor facing west. Loaded whip with
counterpoise. Local RFI was not bad except for a recurrent click. Not too many
JA stations heard. WD6T and K3EST were loud as well as a Vietnamese and Chinese
station. Worked first station S&P after a few repeats. Worked second station
while running. During the following hour tried to work some weak JA stations and
some tried to copy me but gave up. It was an interesting experience operating
from a place other than W6.
