Comments:
This was another disappointing WQ6X state QSO party operation from
W7AYT's QTH in Concord. What if they ran a QSO party and in-state
participants hardly showed up? That is what happened AGAIN this weekend.
I tuned the bands looking for KY stations and hardly heard anyone, despite
the fact that 40 & 20 were CLEARLY open to that area of the country.
What good is holding a QSO party when the radio amateurs in your state
don't even play - DiD they even KNOW about it?
Part of the problem is the event being only 12 hours. By the time the
party is over, 160 & 80 meters are JUST opening up on the Waste Coast.
Give us another opportunity on Sunday (like other QSO parties do) or run
a longer event, like the 30 hour California QSO Party (CQP) GiG.
