Comments:

We decided to forgo the usually M/2 operation in light of the social distancing.
M/2 is a virus sharing paradise...keyboards, microphones and headsets. I will
share that we all missed the camaraderie of the team.

Anyhow, one aspect of not having anything real conflicts is that activity in the
contest was up. No real downtime because no sports on TV!

I had meals with my wife and took an hour every time. I also ran 11 miles on
Saturday morning and that probably is a time difference maker if you are serious
in the contest.

Some memorable QSOs for me was FR4NT calling in, 5Z4 and 5T5 active, and BY and
YB calling in to the midwest while I was running on 20 and 40. Pretty cool! I
also enjoyed saying hi to everyone and noted a lot of the CWops guys on that
found their microphones!

20 seemed to open late and the band was very crowded. It was very difficult to
run as you know there was someone on every frequency. I had some luck at
different times but the propagation would change and you needed to find another
spot. 40m was the money band but mostly NA QSOs. I could work EU S&P but it
was not until late before I could find a spot to run for a short time. 15m was
surprising. Worked some EU on both days but the path to SA seemed good in the
afternoons.

We had some storms roll through over the weekend and it made 80m tough. Lots of
static on 40 and 20 antennas as the storms passed over. Tornadoes passed close
by Saturday night and that caused some concerns. They were mostly aloft. Thank
goodness for the Beverages and the SAL30 in particular. They saved the day on
80m. Beverages were definitely helpful on DX but the SAL30 was superior for NA
QSOs.

Let's hope we can get the team together for the WPX CW.

Thanks for all the QSOs and fun!

73, Craig K9CT
