Comments:

That was fun. Conditions ranged from totally dead (10 meters) to a fun opening
to EU on 160 (when I can hear and work Europeans, the band is open). I had one
new DXCC overall as I stumbled on a lonely 5R8 on 20 meters on Saturday
afternoon and worked him after a couple of calls.

After last year's contest, I did a lot of work on my low band antennas in my
suburban back yard. It paid off with better numbers on 80, and a big
improvement on 40 meters. But there's only so much you can do with wire and 100
watts.

I tried a new sleep schedule this year. Instead of staying up all night on the
first night, I slept from about 12:30 am to 4:30 am. The second night I slept
from 3:30 to 7:30 am. I was much sharper on Saturday night and Sunday as a
result. I'm glad I spent a lot of time in the chair. Thanks to everyone for
all the contacts.
