Comments:
It's been a lonnnng time since I did an SS. Something like 30 years, and that
was the CW version.
Not an SSBer here - a bad radio voice, no voice keyer or even a foot switch. So
I thought I'd just do some S&Ping. As it turns out, what with the long
exchange, IMHO, S&P is rather brutal in this contest. So I then tried CQn,
which while it produced more contacts, could have been much more enjoyable with
a voice keyer and a foot switch.
So, I am going to install the transceiver voice storage unit (it's sitting in a
drawer) and get a foot switch so that I can hopefully enjoy this, and other SSB
contests, in the future.
Whining aside, it's always fun to contest, and I hope I helped others with a
contact and/or a multiplier.
