Comments:

Operated remotely, totaling using the new W1VE synthesized voice. This is not
recommended if you want to submit a competitive score, but it was a learning
experience. Found I needed much more than half a dozen prepared messages, and
could have used a speed up particularly on the callsign voice keying. Since I
didn't have a microphone at home, when someone asked me a question all I could
was repeat the info, say thanks, or say roger.

Biggest initial problem was in getting ops to hear my name. Since I didn't use
my normal name, ops had to copy it. Between the synthesized voice seeming to
start too fast, the simple "David Massachusetts" got throughly mangled
by a number of the first 20 Qs, causing multiple- sometimes multiple multiple-
repeats. After that, I changed it to "David David Massachusetts" and
it was copied almost 100% the first time.

Live and learn. Thanks to those that stuck with me for the Qs! Thanks to Marty
KC1CWF for organizing the YCCC teams.

Dennis W1UE
