When the set up is homemade I have to try to improve all the details at most.I
prepared the competition by analyzing the propagation conditions in the days
before choosing pauses and moments of band changes at exact times.
Everything went like I expected. Everything was perfect, flawless strategy, I
have not anything to blame myself. Unfortunately a lot of adrenaline did not
allow me to rest well in the hour break, and it caused me a bad concentration
in the finals hours.
I am very pleased of the result. In the future I'll have to curate the
psychological part :-). Research and running have been appropriately dosed.
Ending with an average of 2.25 points from these areas I think is a good
result, I worked a lot with the second VFO for the uninterrupted search of
multipliers, I suffered in times of running crushed by KW. I intentionally
measured out my presence in ten meters with open band but it was
disadvantageous.
The 15 meters with good signals but below expectations disappointed me. The 20
m are gone well opened until late, but I have chosen well the passage in 40 m,
where I worked better with 2 points .The 80 m only a few hours and in 160 just
a few mult. I finished very tired but happy with the result considering the
set-up and especially the qth, the strategy and the correct choice of band
changes in the right moments were decisive. I do not consider myself a CW
specialist, it has to spend a lot of time but I think I am on the right track
to arrive at the same in phone trasmission. Thanks everyone for the qso, and
thanks to who has connected (with no state secrets) on livescore.
