Comments:

First time ever in a 44 year ham radio career that I have been on 6 meters so I
have no past experience to compare this dismal effort to. Some on-air comments
I heard seemed to indicate very poor band conditions. Signals seemed to have a
"watery echo." Called CQ on both the CW and SSB calling frequencies
but that yielded nothing. Used the ON4KST Region 2 Chat room to set up some
QSO's attempts which I am told is permissible with new rules out this year.
Made a few other QSO's just by monitoring 50.125 Mhz. Lot's to learn in future
events and of course having a 6 meter antenna up will be a summer project to
have done before June. The G5RV seemed to tune okay but I suspect it was one
step above a dummy load. Score submitted to the contest sponsor.
