As with all things, you do what you can do..!
Thanks must go out to Ken W0ETT for setting up the GMCC Broncos Teams. His
email pushed me to get on the air.
It was typical LOT Lack of Time with other duties coming ahead of contesting.
I think this is a sign of OA Old Age. For us ole farts Speaking of myself only
HI.
Bands were OK to Good except for 10mtrs but 15mtrs was smoking and on down the
line.
As usual with my qth. Hit 80mtrs and I had run out of time and signal. 90 ft
high dipole is like a hex beam in a copper box. Even the hytower on the 2nd
radio was a vertical dummy load.
Thus the tail of this two cities is LOT which equates to not having BIC Butt
IN Chair resulted in a fun time.
Highlight was having AK0BC who came over after the Western Colorado ARC club
meeting to listen and observe how I station works on cw. He did commit that I
use the key for more than I should.Brad said this, Bill use your macros and
save the effort.
Well its hard of a ole fart like me to not use the keyer. But as usual he is
correct. Sorry guys thats why the cw sounded like a straight key at times.
Had fun ..Oh I worked quite a few CO stations. The ones I remember with out
looking at the log. K0EU Ken was cranking along Go Ken, W0ETT Ken doing the
same, others sorry I need to look at the GMCC website to see who are the new
members.Rember I am the ole fart!!! Its so good to see GMCC continuing to grow
and to have more cw ops getting on. That is way cool!
Thus here is my next RANT GO BRONCOS, GO BRONCOS, GO BRONCOS!!!!
