Comments:
Great contest- the most fun I've had in a phone contest in years. QRO was the
game changer. I used my KPA500 for the first time with my K3; all I can say is
wow, instant QSY! Antenna was a quarter wave home brew vertical on a fiberglass
pole; used it for both 40m and 15m and was amazed how well I could hold a
frequency on both bands. Conditions were wonderful and QRO was a real pleasure
again - sure makes a diff for phone contests.
Was surprised at my rates with this little setup...may have to do another phone
contest soon!
