Comments:
Once again with a low/declining solar flux ahead of the contest weekend I was
resigned to operating 40 meters. Friday at around 2200z I check a propagation
website and learn a major solar disturbance is forecast for Saturday. At 2355z
a final sweep of 40 meters reveals only a few very weak European signals.
Sounds like the forecast will be on target. Not really looking forward to
staying up consecutive nights, and especially not so with crummy conditions.
That does it, quickly switch to plan B. While not expecting much 20 meters was
in about as fine a shape as the Northwest has to offer.
