Comments:

Just fooled around for a few hours this time doing 100% S&P, mainly SO2R S&P
practice. I found out the first night that the inverted L still won't match on
80 meters. It looks like I'll need to rig a trap in the thing to make it work
right on 80. The rotator direction pot finally bit the dust Sunday after months
of erratic operation. I have a rebuild in the pipeline; hope it shows up pretty
soon.

Conditions seemed pretty good Saturday, not so good Sunday. EU stations were
really weak on 20 the second day. As usual, the K3/P3 combo performed amazingly
well. It's really great to be able to work S1 DX stations just a few hundred Hz
away from S9+40 stateside Multiop signals. The P3 is really the S&P man's
friend. Having the KPA500 also made the difference between being heard and not
being heard. Running just 200W to a vertical on the 2nd radio resulted in a
good many non-QSOs with the weak EU guys. More ERP = more QSOs!
