Comments:

I have been working like crazy at the station this summer with various projects.
I had to take the 3 el 80m down for maitenance and the plan was to get it up B4
SAC CW. Well becuase of a trip to OH the week prior to the contest for work we
decided to try to get the yagi up on friday before the contest. I had to work
alot with the finishing touches to the antenna on thursday and frieday when I
got home which left little time for sleep prior to the contest.

Got to the station on saturday noon, 2 hrs to set everything up! I borrowed a
FTDX5000 to try it out during the contest and there was a wierd hum fenomena
which got worse when transmitting. I figured it was some sort of grounding
problem, so I stoped operating in the late afternoon to try to fix it. Was QRT
for about 1 hr which solved most of the hum and noice in the receiver. After
the contest i discovered that the mains ground potential between the shack and
amplifier room is slightly different wich produces this fenomena, so I need to
get it fixed by making some electricians-work at the main fuse box. (Murphy

I noticed in the evening that I got very tired already at 10pm and was
struggeling to stay awake, had a cold 2 weeks before the contest and was not
completely okay from that one, then one week in OH for business and then
stressing back to get the 80m yagi up on the tower took out it's toll so at
3.30 AM I woke up in the operating chair, I had been sleeping in the chair for
2,5 hrs with the headphones on and CW coming out loudly from 80m ;-) Don't
recall working last 10 Q's.. Had to go to bed for a few hrs since the world as
just spinning :-P (Murpy #2)

Otherwise I had a blast, always fun to do SAC Contest!

Thanks to all callers and see you as OJ0X from Market Reef in SAC SSB!
