Comments:

Great start ! 20 was super... then everyone bailed.. after about 12 minutes.
went to 40 and had a great time w/ my new 40/30 element on the steppir.
felt like i was ahead of everyone til about 0245, (one qso ahead of ToddSD and
one ahead of TyPA) and then everyone bailed to 80 which was unusable here on
the coast. sun still way up in the sky. so watched the rate slow to a dribble,
and jumped to 80 w/ about 8 minutes to go for that band and 160.

Goal on 80 was to get the west coast. luckily eked out a last minute VVA
contact for CA. could hear all the CA boys working each other way down in the
noise. Tnx W7OM, N7XU for WA, OR.

Usually rely on N6RO for CA on 80/160, but no Ken tonite. 160 in the last few
seconds for neighbor W7OM and a single Q/Mult.

Missed hearing the usual suspects up here KK7S, K7WA, and NN7SS who was in CA
but never heard him.

Good to be back w/ my regular rig, and the 706 is back on the shelf.
all good.
