Comments:

Congrats to KM3T@K5ZD, N2IC, W9RE and K8PO for great scores!

Nice to have many direct-path signals from Europe coming through on 10 meters
with good strength on Sunday, but most were worked with the second radio while
running on other bands. When the band sounded really hot, I tried a couple CQs
but these netted only two mini-runs of 16 and 8 QSOs before drying up.

15 was a hot run band but I may have left for 20 too early the second day, and
20 was only ho-hum then, but with many bursts of good rates through the
afternoon. Highlight of 15 was having two HS0 stations call in on Sunday -- an
hour and 20 minutes apart -- while I was running Europeans.

A major rainstorm Sunday made the high antennas unusable at times, and the
Beverages were even pulled into service on 40 and 20.

Discovered Friday afternoon that my favorite Heil Quiet Phones headset -- last
used in the 160 phone contest the previous weekend -- was dead in one ear and I
had no time or parts handy to repair. Pulled the backup Heil original out of its
box and discovered the microphone boom was busted where it attached to the
headset. Found some duct tape which held it together for the contest. (My next
and last backup would have been a handheld Heil mic!).

Took 3.5 hour break for nap the second night starting 0150z till 0520z (3 hours
for the nap and .5 hours to get moving).
