Good to be back in this one after not participating last year. Mostly S&P on
day 1, and mostly CQ on day 2. Activity and conditions seemed better the first
night. LP phone on top band is brutal, but still, any top band contest is
always fun. The short RX antennas did not help much for SSB -- just too many
overlapping broadband signals. CW is so much better and easier. :)

Not much DX heard - even from the Caribbean and Central / S.A. Only worked
KV4FZ, ZF2AM, CN2A, KP4KE, NP4A, C6ANM, AND XE1RCS. Did not hear some of the
stations listed on NG3K planned operations that should have been relatively
easy to work.

Contiguous U.S. - never heard VT - worked all the rest, including multiples of
D.C. DX wise - never heard KH6 (unusual) or KL7. VE - only worked QC, ON, MB,
AB, and BC. Heard VY2 and VE9 S&P and gone, and never heard the rest of the
provinces. Unusual to not hear/work VE5.

Thanks for the Qs and Ms.
73,
    Gary
