Well, the power line noise is somewhat less, some sources fixed but still
several to go. But wasn't too bad. It seemed fairly balanced as far as being
able to work most of what we could hear. Did not use the beverages at all as
any time we tried they were no better than the 4sq. In Japan direction still
have the flare stack ignition sources and that hampered the JA run as at times
there were LOTS of very weak JA's calling us but just too tough to dig out.
Fortunately there were quite a few louder ones too. Conditions were OK but no
Europe in the early afternoon like last year, our score is a bit better over
last year but the 4sq antenna made a big improvement. There were a lot of dx
that were JUST able to be worked so a few db less might have cost us lots of
mults. We were able to work most of the Eu mults we heard - but there were
lots spotted that we didn't hear a peep out of - especially we did not hear
much out of Asia except JA and UA0. The second night the aurora was in play
as many of the JA signals were best to the SW not NW. Even some Eu stuff was
better SE not NE.
