Comments:
A great contest that appears to be growing in popularity. This was my first
opportunity to use a short contest call for IOTA. My target was to reach 1000
Qs and also to to exceed 1,000,000 points. I am convinced that the shorter
callsign helped. Again I was operating from my home, which is in a conservation
area - this means that the potential for aerials is limited. As in previous
years, I found it hard to work all the local UK island multipliers - probably
because the natural action for all stations is to concentrate on the bands that
are open for dx - rather than for local contacts. 10m was quite good on Saturday
but both 15m and 10m were a bit less lively than last year. I found 20m more
productive than previous years. Thanks to all for the QSOs.
