Part-time effort to test the pair of K3s in contest conditions. Add AGC to my
list of dislikes...several strong signals nearly blew my head off! Need to
make some adjustments there. I did like the AFX feature, however, which
allowed me to keep the filtering a little wider and still pick out individual
stations.
Bands were noisy, don't know what was causing it, but it was a steady buzz most
of the time. Had some minor keying issues, CW sounded choppy and run-on for
some reason even after adjusting the weighting.
Overall, it was fun. Was surprised to see the run rate fairly high for short
periods of time even toward the end of the contest. Missed ND and VY1, but had
three KL7s call me! Thanks to all for a great contest!
