Comments:
I figured I'd stay inside, away from the upper 90 temps this year, after 27
consecutive years of op'ing from a club style FD. I lasted 3 hours before the
urge got to me, & had to leave the chair & visit a couple of local clubs! I did
use a 2kw Honda generator, which advertizes 58db noise @ 7 meters...just around
normal human voice at that distance, & boy, I believe it! Could not even tell
the difference between the gen & my A/C compressor! Bands seemed pretty decent,
had the obvious FD "please copy" QSO's, but, got a chuckle when a guy on PSK31
sent "PSE CPY", then, 5 Q's later, a cw station sent the same thing!
