Comments:

I operated off and on during the weekend which worked out well since every time
I listened the mobiles were all usually in new counties. It seemed like 90% of
my QSOs were with the mobiles, but I just checked and it was only about 50%. I
missed a sweep by 9 counties, but that the best I?ve ever done.

I have an old TA33jr 3 element tri-band beam on about 10 feet of TV mast on the
roof without a rotor. I usually just leave it pointed northeast. However,
during the weekend I went on the roof and manually rotated it towards FL to see
if I could do better in the pile ups. I?m not sure if it helped my signal that
much, but the TVI problem that I have been having forever with the TIVO that is
connect to my satellite dish went away. My other receivers on the same
satellite feed never had a problem, just TIVO. Now I can even run my amp while
the XYL is using the TIVO as long as I?m pointed at FL. I?ll really be ready
for next year?s FQP.

A big thanks for this year?s very active FQP and solving my TVI problems too!

73, Jim, W6KC
