Comments:

Strange experience. My new tribander stack delivered vastly higher run rates,
but the bottom line fell short of last year's claimed score by 150K. More
QSOs, fewer countries and zones. I'll be interested to hear what more
experienced contesters think, but I found the duration of run-time on 10-20
less than last year, even though rates were much higher. Sunday seemed
particularly affected by whatever ionospheric phenomenon was involved. Signals
went down so far on the high bands that I spent a few minutes making sure that
nothing was broken.

80 and (to an extent) 40 were also disappointments this year, due entirely to a
strange local line noise problem that started Friday evening and delivered
S9+20 noise levels (but mostly on) on both bands, but particularly on 80. I
worked everyone I heard, but that isn't saying much!
